SPARC Hydrogen

The next-gen green hydrogen tech we helped develop for SPARC Hydrogen, in conjunction with University of Adelaide and Flinders University, has recently showcased a successful completion of first-phase prototype on-sun testing at The CSIRO Energy Centre.

Sparc Hydrogen’s goal is to advance next-generation green hydrogen technology. This goal is to be achieved with photocatalytic water splitting, an alternative green hydrogen tech to making renewable hydrogen via electrolysis. The method relies directly on sunlight, water and a photocatalyst to split hydrogen from water.

Photocatalytic water splitting has the potential to be cost-effective while offering flexibility advantages compared to conventional electrolysis due to smaller infrastructure  and electricity requirements.
