Parking mirrors are very popular in Japan and are fast catching on elsewhere, especially where streets are narrow and traffic is dense. We designed this Australian Design Award winning mirror power fold mechanism for the Mazda 6 for low cost using the latest thermoplastic technology. It employs an innovative (patent granted) unloading mechanism to minimise gear tooth stresses.
We have also designed some larger powerfold mechanisms for light truck applications.
