Applidyne Build Your Dream Design Competition

Competition Description

Applidyne’s “Build Your Dream” design competition is a great chance for budding design engineers to get up to $10,000 to build the design of their dreams.

Who We Are

Applidyne is a team of dedicated mechanical, mechatronic and electronic product design engineers who thrive on the more challenging projects. We have extensive experience in systems design, technical investigations and engineering analyses, but product design engineering and R&D are what we do best. We create innovative product designs for our clients that translate to a competitive advantage in many different industries, including automotive, mining, medical, consumer goods, defence and aviation.

Qualification Requirements

It is anticipated that applicants for the Design Competition will either be:

• A Mechanical, Electronic/Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering student studying at an Australian or New Zealand university in third year or above; or
• An early-career degree-qualified engineer with less than 5 years of industry experience and is residing in Australia or New Zealand.

You must be a strong team player and will be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

Application

Entries to the Competition for 2026 have closed. Our next intake will commence at the start of March 2027 and closing at the end of March 2027. The Winner will be announced at the end of April 2027.
